Look at what we have been learning throughout the year.
In Year 4, children are expected to complete a few short tasks each week, to support their learning in school. They also have the option of completing theme-related homework.
Regular reading to an adult or themselves – there is a direct link between reading regularly and doing well in school. This should be recorded in their Reading Records.
Talk homework for a Big Write – Talk homework sheets will be handed out at least once a month. Children are encouraged to discuss their ideas at home but can also make notes or draw pictures to use during the Big Write.
Practise weekly spellings – children should practise for 5-10 minutes at least 3 times a week or until they know them. Spellings will be handed out on Mondays, and tested the following Monday.
My Maths tasks set by the teacher – don’t forget, your child can log in to complete tasks of their own choosing, too.My Maths website
Superhero Times Tables
